Keyboard shortcuts for the "Shut down" and "Hibernate" commands are unexpectedly set to the R key in the German version of Windows 7 or of Windows Server 2008 R2

Assume that you have a computer that is running�the German version of Windows 7 or�the German version of Windows Server 2008 R2. Additionally, assume that you press the Windows logo key, and then you press the Right Arrow key two times to extend the selection. In this scenario, the keyboard shortcuts for both the�Shut down and Hibernate�commands are unexpectedly set to the R key (the�commands in German are�Herunterfahren and Ruhezustand). Additionally, when you press R, the command that is selected alternates between the Shut down and Hibernate�commands, and the computer does not shut down or hibernate.�

Note In the German version of Windows 7 or�of Windows Server 2008 R2, the default power option on�the�Start menu is set to Log off�(the�command in German is�Abmelden).
