- You configure a server message block (SMB) server on a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device.
- You connect to the device from a desktop computer that uses the SMB version 2 protocol. For example, the desktop computer has Windows Vista or Windows 7 installed.
- One or more applications or processes copy files into a shared folder on the device.
