Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You apply security update 2656381 to a computer that is running one of the following operating systems:
    • Windows 7
    • Windows 7 SP1
    • Windows Server 2008 R2
    • Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1)
    • Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (SP2)
  • You run a custom Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 Beta application that uses Windows Forms.

In this scenario, you may experience the following issues:
  • The custom application may not print when the application uses a custom print controller. This problem may manifest itself as a failure to print without error messages even when the page is not printed.
  • Printer settings that are defined in the custom application may not be applied. (Such settings include page size, layout, paper tray, and so on.) Instead, the default printer settings may be applied.
