The connection may fail when you use the Out of Band console to connect to an Intel AMT-based computer in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager

Symptoms

When you use the Out of Band console in Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager to connect to an Intel AMT-based computer, the connection fails. When you check the OOBConsole.log file, the log indicates that the power status cannot be retrieved because of error code 0x800703E3. This error code incorrectly indicates the problem as "The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request."

Cause

This problem may occur when the client record is missing or is incorrect on the Domain Name System (DNS) server.

To work around this problem, add or correct the client record in the DNS server.
