Powerpivot for Excel 2013 add-in fails for non-admin users on Windows XP

Symptoms

On Windows XP non-admin users get the following error message when trying to open Powerpivot window in excel workbook:

“Embedded Analysis Services Engine: Could not open embedded Powerpivot data”.

Cause

The usage of Powerpivot window requires the "SeIncreaseBasePriorityPrivilege" privilege.

Resolution

Give specific users or groups that are supposed to work with Powerpivot the "SeIncreaseBasePriorityPrivilege" privilege.
