FIX: A custom .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 application that uses Windows Forms may not print or may not apply defined printer settings in Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You apply security update 2656369 to a computer that is running Windows XP or Windows Server 2003.
  • You run a custom Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 application that uses Windows Forms.

In this scenario, you may experience the following issues:
  • The custom application may not print when the application uses a custom print controller. This problem may manifest itself as a failure to print without error messages even when the page is not printed.
  • Printer settings that are defined in the custom application may not be applied. (Such settings include�page size, layout, paper tray, and so on.)�Instead, the default printer settings may be applied.
