An overwrite confirmation dialog box is covered when you overwrite an existing file in an FTP server directory in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2

Assume that you open an FTP server directory in an Explorer window on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. When you�overwrite an existing file in the FTP server directory, an overwrite confirmation dialog box appears at first. However, the�Process�dialog box immediately covers the overwrite confirmation dialog box. Therefore, you may not see the overwrite confirmation dialog box.

This issue occurs because the Progress�dialog box has an associated timer. When the timer starts, the�Process�dialog box redraws over the overwrite confirmation dialog box.

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
