Symptoms

Assume that you have a hierarchy setup in the legal entity for an organization in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. However, when you submit purchase requisition workflows and request for approvals based on the hierarchy setup, you receive the following error message:
Stopped (error): X++ Exception: Work item could not be created. Insufficient rights for user User.

This problem occurs because of a workflow permission issue.

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
