More Information

This article describes the information that may be collected from a machine when running the System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Diagnostic.

Remote Diagnostic Execution will work if the following requirements are met:

· Remote Registry Service is running on the remote computer.

· You have Administrative Rights on the remote computer.

· SMB/RPC/WMI Communication is allowed on the Firewall.

PowerShell will be installed on the computers involved to be able to execute diagnostic packages. After the execution completes, PowerShell will remain installed on the computer(s).

NOTE:
- All file names in the data collection are prefaced with the {Computername} on which the Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool is run.
