An SOA session that runs the Java service does not work on a Windows HPC Server 2008 R2 failover cluster

Symptoms

Assume that you create a Windows HPC Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 2 (SP2) cluster. Additionally, you configure some Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) broker nodes on the cluster as a failover cluster. However, a service-oriented architecture (SOA) session that uses these broker nodes to run the Java service does not work correctly on the cluster.

Resolution

Hotfix information

To resolve this issue, install the following hotfix on all broker nodes.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
