The system displays incorrect sales tax in each invoice line when you post an electronic invoice for a free tax invoice in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 with the Mexico localization layer installed

Symptoms

Assume that you create a free tax invoice that contains multiple invoice lines in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1) with the Mexico localization layer installed. When you post an electronic invoice for the free tax invoice, the system displays the total amount of the sales tax in each invoice line unexpectedly. Therefore, the electronic invoice cannot meet the requirements by the sales tax authorities.

Cause

This problem occurs because the system inserts the total sales tax amount instead of the sales amount for single invoice line to the TaxTrans table unexpectedly.

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply this hotfix.

Validation of the application hotfix installation

To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
