More Information

The SMS Provider is a set of DLLs that run in Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). These DLLs enable connections for Administration Console and for SDK. The SMS Provider is installed or uninstalled by running System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Setup. On each Configuration Manager site, you can run Setup again to change the SMS Provider configuration or to add another provider on a different server. To remove the last SMS Provider for a site, you must uninstall the site.
