Installing the System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager VMM Management Server fails with the following error:

Cause

This can occur due to corrupt installation media.

Resolution

To resolve this issue perform the following steps:

1. Re-download the installation media.
2. If installing from a DVD, re-burn the installation media at a lower speed (4x).
3. Attempt the installation again.
