Information in a purchase order that was created from Generate Purchase Orders (RQ.400.00) in Requisitions in Microsoft Dynamics SL as Goods for Project is unexpectedly unavailable in Inventory

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • You open Requisition (RQ.110.00) and enter a requisition. On the requisition, you enter a detail line that has a value of Goods for Project in the Purchase For field. 
  • You open Generate Purchase Orders (RQ.400.00) and then create a purchase order for the requisition.
  • You access Inventory Status Inquiry (10.220.00).

When you do this, you notice that the Available and From Purchase Orders fields in Inventory Status Inquiry (10.220.00) include the values from the purchase order created in Generate Purchase Orders (RQ.400.00). The expectation is that information in a purchase order that was created as Goods for Project would be unavailable in Inventory.
