Consider the following scenario:
In this scenario, you experience the following symptoms:
Note This problem also occurs when you type characters in the Domain text box of the logon dialog box.
- You have a Japanese version of a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based image installed on a device that includes the following component:Microsoft Input Method Editor (IME) 3.1 for Japanese (SYSGEN_IMEJPN)
- You select the Direct Input mode from the Input Method Editor (IME) toolbar on the device.
- You type a network share folder path in Windows Explorer and then try to access the folder.
- You type some characters in the User name text box of the logon dialog box.
In this scenario, you experience the following symptoms:
- The characters that you type are not displayed in the User name text box.
- When you press Enter, the typed characters are always displayed as full-width Japanese characters.
- The IME input mode cannot be changed when you type the characters.
Note This problem also occurs when you type characters in the Domain text box of the logon dialog box.
