Consider the following scenario:
Note When this issue occurs, a temporary folder that is named TEMP is created in Drive:\Users, and this temporary folder is deleted when the IIS worker process (W3wp.exe) exits.
- You configure the identity of an application pool to use an account on a computer that has Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 or Microsoft IIS 7.5 installed.
- The account uses the "domain\user" format, and the Load User Profile option is set to true in the advanced settings of the application pool.
- The user account has never been used to log on to this computer. Therefore, the user's profile directory was not created in Drive:\users.
- A client request is sent to a site that is hosted by the server running IIS.
