Exception code 0xc00000fd when the Lync Server Front-End service crashes in a Lync Server 2010 environment

Symptoms

Assume that users hold a conference that contains lots of participants in a Microsoft Lync Server 2010 environment. In this situation, the Lync Server Front-End service crashes when the Archiving service tries to write data to the SQL database. Additionally, the following exception code is received:
0xc00000fd
Also, the following event is logged in the Application log:
Note The time stamp, Ntdll.dll version number, process id, and application start time in the description of the error message are based on the environment.

Cause

This issue occurs because the Archiving agent on the server tries to collect the information of each user who is in the instant message (IM) Delivery Notification report.

To resolve this issue, install the following update:
