The quantity on hand is updated incorrectly in Microsoft Dynamics SL when multiple records are entered in Bin/Lot/Serial (40.110.06) for the same InvtId, Lot, Whse Bin Loc combination

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Order Management in Microsoft Dynamics SL.

  • You open Shippers (40.110.00).
  • You enter an inventory item that is a lot-numbered item and then click Bin/Lot/Ser.
  • You enter the same lot-numbered item multiple times in Bin/Lot/Ser (40.110.06).
  • You confirm shipping and then print the report in Sales Journal (40.690.00).

In this scenario, the quantity on hand for the InvtID, Lot, Whse Bin Loc combination is updated incorrectly. It is updated only by the first entry that was entered in Bin/Lot/Ser (40.110.06) for the lot-numbered item.

Resolution
