Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Work Order in Microsoft Dynamics SL.

  • You open Material Issues (12.400.00) and then enter a value in Work Order ID.
  • You enter a value in Component that is a serial-numbered inventory item.
  • You enter a value in Issue Now.
  • You click Qty Details and then select the appropriate serial-numbered items to be included as components of the work order.
  • You change Issue Now to zero but do not delete the component detail line.
  • You try to release the batch.

In this scenario, the batch is suspended, and you receive the following error message:

Lot transaction record missing for line % in batch % inventory item %. The batch will not be released.
