The IXSSO Indexing Service component cannot be used in a 32-bit process running on a 64-bit operating system.
Attempting to use the IXSSO component in a 32-bit process running on a 64-bit operating system, including trying to copy the IXSSO files and registry keys from a 32-bit installation of Windows to a 64-bit machine, is not recommended and is not supported by Microsoft.
If you have an existing application running in 32-bit process on 64-bit operating system that uses the IXSSO component, it is recommended to take one of the following actions:
1. Change the application to run in a 64-bit process.
2. Migrate the application so it does not use the legacy Indexing Service.
3. Use a separate 64-bit process specifically for the IXSSO component, and have that process communicate to the 32-bit application.
