The rate value is incorrect in Invoice and Adjustment Maintenance (BI.BAM.00) in Microsoft Dynamics SL

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Flexible Billings in Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • You open Invoice and Adjustment Maintenance (BI.BAM.00) and then enter and save a draft.
  • On the detail line of the draft, you change Amount. When you do this, you notice that Rate on the detail line changes so that Units times Rate equals Amount.
  • You click to clear the detail line and then close the screen without saving changes.
  • You reopen Invoice and Adjustment Maintenance (BI.BAM.00) and then select that line item again in a new draft.
When you do this, you notice that Units and Amount contain the correct values. Even though Amount was changed, the change was not saved. However, Rate is still the recalculated rate. Therefore, Units times Rate now does not equal Amount.
