You may see boxes where text should be in this scenario:
- You open a document that contains Korean fonts in Word for Mac 2011.
- The document was created on Word for Mac 2008 or Word 2010.
- Open the document that displays boxes instead of text.
- Select all lines that include boxes.
- On the Word menu, click Preferences.
- Under Output and Sharing, click Compatibility.
- Click Font Substitution.
- Choose the Gulim font (under Substituted font), and then click OK.
