Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1):
  • You apply hotfix 2591213.
  • You have two transfer orders.
  • In the Picking list registration dialog box, you change the serial number of one transfer order to a serial number that is reserved in the other transfer order.
In this scenario, all inventory transactions are changed accordingly. However, the open transfer order still displays an original serial number. Therefore, data inconsistencies occur.

Validation of the application hotfix installation

To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
