Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1):
  • You apply hotfix 2481624.
  • You create a purchase order that requires two pallets for the purchase items.
  • You create an item arrival journal that generates two pallet ids for the purchase order and post the arrival journal.
  • You move one of the pallets from a location to the picking location.
  • You post the packing slip or invoice for the purchase order.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Pallet pallet_id is not at location location_id in warehouse warehouse_id.

This problem occurs because the same palletId value that is used in different location in the transfer journal causes the checkDimPhysical method in the inventMovement class to throw error.

Validation of the application hotfix installation

To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.

Note The XXXXXX placeholder represents the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
