FIX: Transaction Integrator tracing does not provide enough detail for TRMFlowControl exceptions in Host Integration Server 2010

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

You have a Host Initiated Processing (HIP) application that returns an error. As part of the troubleshooting process, you enable Transaction Integrator (TI) tracing in Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010 to obtain more details about the error that is occurring. The TI trace includes messages that resemble the following:

Message 1
TRMFlowControl is checking for unbounded DataTables from Host for method method_name.
Message 2
TRMFlowControl has encountered an exception after progress marker 130.
However, these messages do not provide enough detail for TRMFlowControl exceptions.

Cause

The Microsoft.HostIntegration.TI.DotNetInvoker.dll does not provide tracing code. This causes the lack of detail in the TI trace for TRMFlowControl exceptions.
