FIX: A line break is appended unexpectedly to a text box when you export an RDLC report to a Word document in Visual Studio 2010

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services (SSRS 2008) Client Report Definition (RDLC) report in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
  • You add a text box to the RDLC report.
  • You input HTML-formatted text into the text box. This text uses more than one font.
  • You generate the report in a Windows Form application in local processing mode, and then you export the report to a Microsoft Word document.
In this scenario, a line break is appended unexpectedly to the text box.

Note You can enable the Show all formatting marks setting in Word to display the line break in the document.
