Workflow capability fails with HTTP status 400: Bad request in network isolated environments

Symptoms

The Test and Workflow capabilties fail in network isolated environments in MTM 2010. 


Test capability fails with error:
An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Workflow capability fails with error:
HTTP status 400: Bad request

Cause

This issue occured because of a problem with the HP NC-Series Emulex NIC drivers on the host server when the virtual machines were being hosted.

Note this not a problem with Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010 or Microsoft Test and Lab Manager 2010 products.

Resolution

To fix the issue please apply the firmware and operating system updates from the vendor's web site.
