To resolve this issue, replace the corrupted Hhctrl.ocx file.
To replace the corrupted Hhctrl.ocx file, you must locate the file on your hard disk, locate an uncorrupted copy of the file, and then copy the file to the correct location on your hard disk. To do this on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, follow these steps:
NOTE: Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
- Locate the corrupted file.
- Click Start, point to Search, and then click For Files or Folders.
- Type hhctrl.ocx in the Search for files or folders named box.
- Select the drive that contains your Windows operating system in the Look in box [typically Local Harddrives (C:)], and then click Search Now.
The location of the file appears in the Search Results box.
- Locate an uncorrupted copy of Hhctrl.ocx.
- Insert the Microsoft Office 2000 or FrontPage 2000 compact disc into your CD-ROM drive.
- Click Start, point to Search, and then click For Files or Folders.
- Type hhctrl.ocx in the Search for files or folders named box.
- Select the CD-ROM drive, and then click Search Now.
The location of the file appears in the Search Results box.
- Copy the file to your hard disk.
- Click Start, point to Search, point to Accessories, and then click Windows Explorer.
- Browse to the location of the uncorrupted copy of Hhctrl.ocx that you found in step 2.
- Drag the file to the location that you found in step 1.
