Symptoms

When you sign in to Management Reporter, you may receive the following message:



Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation.



If you check the Event Viewer, you will find the following error message:

Cause

User recently changed their network password.

Resolution

Clear the cached password by doing the following:

1.       Open the following location:

C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Microsoft_Corporation

2.       Rename the folder ReportDesigner.exe_StrongName_jkdwd…

3.      Log back into Management Reporter and you will no longer receive the error message.
