More information

Message recall between GroupWise and Exchange Server by using the Exchange Connector for Novell GroupWise in Exchange Server 5.5 and Exchange 2000 Server is not supported.

If a GroupWise client user deletes a message from the Sent Items folder, the user is prompted to select one of three options in the following message: Delete from:
  1. My MailboxRecipients MailboxAll Mailboxes
  2. Recipients MailboxAll Mailboxes
  3. All Mailboxes
If the user selects Recipients mailbox or All Mailboxes, a message recall (in GroupWise, a retracted message) is sent to Exchange Server through the Exchange Connector for Novell GroupWise. The connector does not support this action, and the recall message is copied to the Badfiles folder in the Gwrouter folder.

The message that is copied to the Badfiles folder contains information that is similar to the following:
WPC-API= 1.2;
Header-Char= T50;
Msg-Type= MAIL;
Msg-Action= RETRACT;
Orig-Msg-ID= 393680B6.B44D.0001.000;
If an Outlook user recalls a message that was sent to GroupWise, another message that contains a subject in the following format is delivered to the specified GroupWise user:
Recall: previous_subject
The message simply states that the message is to be recalled.
