Symptom

You receive the following error when you select a report in the Report Scheduler in Business Portal for Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011:


Load report failed. Unsupported Operation. A document processed by the JRC engine cannot be opened in the C++ stack

Cause

The UNC path to the Microsoft Dynamics SL Program Files is missing from the setup files.

Resolution

Correct the UNC Path. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. From the Business Portal server, select Start, Run. Then enter the UNC path to the Microsoft Dynamics SL program files. Example:
    \\Servername\SL\Applications\
  2. If the test from step 1 was sucsessful, launch the BPSLClientSetup.exe utility from the C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\[port number]\bin folder.
  3. Enter the UNC path from step 1 and click OK
