You notice that you can enter multiple RFC orders for an OM Sales Order. This overstates Inventory quantities

Symptoms

 Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0:

  • You create a Sales Order in the Order Management Sales Order Entry (40.100.00) screen.
  • You create confirm shipment and print the Sales Journal Report (40.690.00).
  • In Order Management Sales Order Entry (40.100.00), you enter you enter an Return for Credit (RFC) order type to return the inventory to stock.
  • In Order Management Sales Order Entry (40.100.00), you enter you enter another Return for Credit (RFC) order type to return the inventory to stock.

In this scenario, the items in the original order are returned to inventory multiple times. Therefore, the inventory quantity for the item is overstated.
