Process Manager creates a shipper for incorrect quantity when Standard Carton information is set up in Inventory Items

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Order Management in Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0:

  • You access Inventory Maintenance (10.250.00).
  • You click the Shipping tab.
  • You select a Pack Method of Standard Carton.
  • You enter inventory receipts to establish an inventory quantity that is a partial carton, such as 7.5.
  • You enter a sales order for more than the quantity available, such as 8.0.

When you do this, you notice that Process Manager (40.400.00) creates a shipper for a partial carton, such as 7.5. The system does not allow for a partial carton to be entered manually. Therefore, Process Manager should not create a shipper for a partial carton automatically.
