Inventory Issues batch suspends when a shipper uses a lot-tracked inventory item from multiple locations within the same site

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Order Management in Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011:

  • You clear Customer Priority Scheduling in Inventory Setup (10.950.00).
  • You select Deduct All Open Sales Orders in Inventory Setup (10.950.00).
  • You create a lot-tracked inventory item in Inventory Maintenance (10.250.00).
  • You receive inventory into multiple warehouse bin locations.
  • In Sales Order (40.100.00), you select Ship Complete and create a sales order for a quantity that is greater than the quantity that is available for the inventory item.
  • You enter a receipt for enough quantity to enable the shipper to be created.
  • You open Shippers (40.110.00) and confirm shipment of the inventory items.
  • You print the Sales Journal (40.690.00).

When you do this, you notice that the Inventory Issues batch suspends with a message that the quantity in a specific warehouse bin location will go negative.
