Symptoms

Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 enables Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) site-to-site connections in Routing and Remote Access Services (RRAS). This occurs even when only a Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) site-to-site virtual private network (VPN) connection is enabled in the TMG 2010 Microsoft Management Console (MMC).

Resolution

To resolve this problem, install the service pack that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
