IN Integrity Check (10.990.00) process allocates quantity for inventory IDs on Quote type service calls in Microsoft Dynamics SL

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Inventory and in Service Dispatch in Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4):
  • You create a service call on the Service Call Entry (SD.200.00) screen, and you set the value in the Handling box to Quote.
  • You create an invoice for the service call on the Invoice Entry (SD.202.00) screen.
  • You run the IN Integrity Check (10.990.00) process, and you select the option to Rebuild On Order Quantities.
  • You review the Quantity Available value in the Inventory Status Inquiry (10.220.00) screen for the inventory IDs on the service call quote.
When you do this, you notice that the value in the Quantity Available box is reduced by the quantity in the service call quote. You expect the quantity available to remain unchanged because the IN Integrity Check (10.990.00) process should not allocate quantities on Quote type service calls.
