Frame or Table Text Is Cut Off at the Right Margin When Printing Web Pages

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

When you print a Web page that contains a table or frames that are wider than the print area, the right side of the table or frame may not be printed, and a second page that includes the truncated part of the table or frame may not be printed.

Cause

Because the content of the table or the frame is larger than the output paper size, Internet Explorer cannot put all the content of either table or frame on the output paper. Therefore, it clips off the content that is outside the printable area.

Workaround

To work around this issue, for both tables and frames, reduce the page margins or print the page in Landscape mode to increase the printable area.
  • To reduce the margins, follow these steps:
    1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
    2. Under Margins, type 0 in the Left box and the Right box.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Print the page again.
  • If changing the margins does not resolve the issue, change to Landscape mode. To do so, follow these steps:
    1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
    2. Under Orientation, click Landscape.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Print the page again.
You can also print the individual frames separately from the printer. You can do this only to frame Web pages. To print the individual frames, follow these steps:
  1. On the File menu, click Print.
  2. Under the Options tab, click All frames individually.
  3. Click Print.
