Description of the Office 2010 update: March 29, 2012

Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft Office 2010. This update provides the latest fixes for the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Office 2010. This update fixes an issue in which Microsoft SharePoint Workspace 2010 is installed unexpectedly when you install Office 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1). 

Issue that this update fixes

When you install Office 2010 SP1, SharePoint Workspace 2010 is installed. However, SharePoint Workspace 2010 is not included in the original Office Professional Plus 2010 installation and should not be installed as part of the SP1 package. In certain situations, Microsoft Office Groove 2007 is upgraded to SharePoint Workspace 2010 when you install Office SP1.
