INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Excel 2010 crashes when you call the Workbook.Permissions property by using Visual Basic Applications (VBA) code. This issue specifically occurs when there are no active workbooks in an Excel 2010 file.
  • Excel 2010 may crash when you insert a Scenario Summary that is based on data that is formatted as percentages.
  • Excel 2010 prompts you to save a workbook that includes a chart even when you do not make a change to the workbook. This issue occurs after you close an unrelated workbook.
  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You create a Macro that contains the BeforeSave event in a workbook.
    • You share and save the workbook.
    • You open the workbook and enable the Macro.
    • You save the workbook again, and then you use the BeforeSave event handler in the Macro to cancel the save behavior.
    • You try to save the workbook again.

    In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
    Microsoft Excel
    This file is locked. Try the command again later.
  • 2597034 You cannot save a workbook that contains an image that was copied from another workbook in Excel 2010
  • 2597992 Linked workbook does not open when you click a hyperlink in an Excel 2010 workbook
  • 2598009 Conditional formatting is not applied immediately to a cell in an Excel 2010 worksheet
  • 2598020 An image in the header or in the footer of an Excel workbook is not clear after you print the workbook in Excel 2010

Hotfix information
