INTRODUCTION

Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. This update provides the latest fixes for SharePoint Server 2007.

Issue that this update fixes

Assume that you extend the functionality of a document in an Office 2013 application by using apps for Office. You upload the document to SharePoint Server 2007. Then, you use Excel Web App to open the document. In this situation, Excel Web App may crash.

Note Microsoft Office 2013 introduces apps for Office. Apps for Office provides new experiences in Office applications. More specifically, apps for Office integrates web technologies and cloud services into Office documents.

  2. Type Appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.
  3. Use one of the following procedures, depending on the operating system that you are running.
    • Windows 7 and Windows Vista
      1. Click View installed updates.
      2. In the list of updates, locate and click update 2596817, and then click Uninstall.
    • Windows XP
      1. Click to select the Show updates check box.
      2. In the list of updates, locate and click update 2596817, and then click Remove.
