IIS Manager crashes when you double-click "BITS Uploads" while a virtual directory is selected on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2

After you install the following hotfix package, IIS Manager determines whether the parent directory of a virtual directory is a physical folder before it tries to access the properties of the directory.

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
