FIX: Host Initiated Processing applications that are configured to use Host-initiated Single Sign-On run under the HIP service account credentials instead of the ENTSSO supplied user credentials in a Host Integration Server 2010 environment

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010 environment:
  • You configure a Host Initiated Processing (HIP) security policy to use Host-initiated Single Sign-on as the source of user credentials to start the server application.
  • You create a HIP service and specify the Windows credentials, such as domain_name\HIP_Service, under which the Windows service is to run.

In this scenario, the HIP service uses the Windows credentials to start the server application instead of the user credentials that are obtained from the Enterprise Single Sign-On (ENTSSO) database.
