XL2000: Embedded Excel Chart Resizes in Word When Scrolling to Different Page

Symptoms

If you are working in a Microsoft Word 2000 document that contains an embedded Excel chart object, the size of the chart may change.

Cause

This behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • The Word 2000 document is in print layout view.

    -and-
  • You have more than one page in the document.

    -and-
  • You have inserted a Microsoft Excel Chart object.

    -and-
  • You have resized the Microsoft Excel Chart object and have not deactivated it by clicking the Word 2000 document.

    -and-
  • You have scrolled to another page and then back to the page that contains the Microsoft Excel chart object.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
