Problems when disconnecting a VDI session with the connection bar

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

When disconnecting a VDI session via the close button, on the connection bar or the containing window, two different types of problems can occur:
  1. The session will be disconnected even if Cancel is clicked in the confirmation popup.  This is likely to happen when connecting to a virtual desktop pool via RD Web Access.
  2. The disconnected session may be a candidate for another incoming user connection, in which case the new user will see a popup within their VDI session stating that "Another user is currently logged on to this computer...", and offering the new user a chance to disconnect or logoff the original user.  This can happen if load balancing for the VDI environment is done with an F5 load balancer, and RemoteFX is being used.

Cause
