Current Web Page Is Blank After Opening an Outlook:// URI from Internet Explorer

Symptoms

Internet Explorer displays the current Web page as a blank page after you open an "Outlook://" Universal Resource Identifier (URI). For example, if you add your Inbox to Favorites in Microsoft Outlook 2000, Internet Explorer displays the current Web page as a blank page when you open your Inbox from Favorites in Internet Explorer.

Open the "Outlook://" URI (or Favorite) from the Start menu or a shortcut.
