System message 10232 - "Assertion Failure" in Inventory Kit Assembly when you paste serial numbers from Microsoft Excel into Microsoft Dynamics SL

Symptoms

When you paste a series of serial numbers into the Lot Serial Assignment (10.070.00) screen from Microsoft Excel for a Kit Assembly batch in Microsoft Dynamics SL, you receive the following error message:

System Message 10232-Assertion failure!

File: ccpapi.cpp
Line: 517

Expression: FALSE

Hit OK to stop program, and report the error to Microsoft Support,
noting the failed expression, file name and line number.

Resolution

Hotfix information for Microsoft Dynamics SL
