"System Message 8152 - String or binary data would be truncated" when you close Accounts Payable in Microsoft Dynamics SL

Symptoms

When you log on to Microsoft Dynamics SL by using a user ID that contains more than 10 characters and you try to close the Accounts Payable module from the Closing (01.560.00) screen, you receive the following error message:
System Message 8152 - String or binary data would be truncated

Workaround

To work around this problem, log on to Microsoft Dynamics SL by using a user ID that is 10 characters or shorter, and then close the Accounts Payable module.

Resolution

Hotfix information for Microsoft Dynamics SL
