FIX: A 30-second delay may occur when you open an ASP webpage that is hosted on a Windows Embedded Compact 7 web server

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You configure a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device as a web server.
  • A client connects to the same network as the web server from a desktop computer.
  • The client tries to open an Active Server Pages (ASP) webpage that is hosted on the web server.

In this scenario, it may have a 30-second delay to display the webpage.

Cause

The issue occurs because a socket lock flag is not reset in the HttpConnectionThread function. Therefore, a redundant Winsock SELECT function occurs and may cause a 30-second delay.
