LINELOT information is missing from an Outbound EDI ASN flat file in Microsoft Dynamics SL

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Order Management and Advanced Shipping Management in Microsoft Dynamics SL:
  • You create a new sales order for a lot-tracked or serial-tracked inventory ID on the Sales Orders (40.100.00) screen.
  • You process the sales order and allow for containers to be automatically generated when the shipper is created.
  • You change the lot number or the serial number for the inventory ID on the Bin/Lot/Serial (40.110.06) screen to something other than the default value.
  • You click Begin Processing on the Create Outbound EDI ASNs (50.402.00) screen.
  • You review the Outbound Advanced Shipping Notice flat file that is generated.
When you do this, you notice that the LINELOT record is missing from the Outbound Advanced Shipping Notice flat file. You expect this record to appear in the file.
