Cumulative update package 2 for BizTalk Server 2009 fails if a BizTalk group uses a database that uses a case-sensitive collation

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You configure a BizTalk group to use a database on a computer that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009. The database uses a case-sensitive collation.

    For example, the database uses the Latin1_General_100_CS_AI collation.
  • You try to apply cumulative update package 2 for BizTalk Server 2009.
In this scenario, the installation fails.

Cause

This issue occurs because of an error in the Bts_tracking_logic.sql file that is included in cumulative update package 2. 

The Bts_tracking_logic.sql file creates a temporary table that has the name of #Permission. However, the Bts_tracking_logic.sql file refers the table as #permission when the script tries to delete the table.
